Unusual flora and fauna of coral islands of Caribbean sea, untouched jungle of the river Orinoco, the highest falls in the world – Анхель and snow-white sandy beaches of island Margarita – all this Venezuela.
Capital: Caracas

Venezuela is located in the north of South America. In the West and a southwest borders on Colombia, in the south and a southeast - with Brazil, in the east - with Guiana. In the north it is washed by waters of Caribbean sea, in northeast - Atlantic ocean.

Venezuela name the country of mountains, plains and woods. All West and the north are borrowed(occupied) by the Andes Venezuela (a northeast spur of a range of the Andes of South America). East Кордильера Colombia, entering limits of Venezuela, forks on two ridges: Sierra-де-Периха on which crest there passes(there takes place) border with Colombia, and high double ridge Кордильера-де-Мерида deviating to northeast. Between them the hollow of Maracaibo lays. The central part of ridge Кордильера-де-Мерида is covered by eternal snows and glaciers, for as refers to as Sierra-Nevada, i.e. Snow. Here there is the highest point of the country - pico Bolivar (5007). At its(his) top there is a bronze bust of this outstanding fighter for independence of Venezuela.

Angel falls

Earthquake of 1812 by the first push has transformed capital Caracas into a heap of ruins. For one minute the quarter of its(his) population was lost. In 1900 it(he) has been again destroyed by earthquake.
